Creating a Cat-Friendly Aquarium: A Unique Family Project
For many families, pets are family. After discovering their cat, Whiskers has a nosy streak and an interest for fish she’s taken her hobby to the next level by creating an aquarium especially designed for him.
The Concept
It all started when at the kitchen window, Whiskers watched intently as fish swam by in a nearby pond. They wanted to construct an environment where Whiskers can safely dash around in the fish-tornado without leaving their home. This prompted them to try and figure out a way of building an aquarium that would provide suitable entertainment for their cat.
Designing the Aquarium
To make sure this problem was avoided, the family designed an aquarium that would look good and actually do a proper job. Their choice landed on a large, glass tank which would allow Whiskers maximum scope of the fish. It involved a complete set, such as vibrant pebbles, plants moving along with the water and numerous species of fish. They made sure to filter the tank well, and that also kept their water suitable for fish.
One of the coolest features about how they built it was that, in addition to LED lights -that not just lit up the tank during night hours- also made whole scene more appealing for Mr. Whiskers . The selection process stared with the family doing a report on possible types of fish to make sure that their pick lived within an environment created for them.
Engaging Whiskers
After getting the tank all set up and seeing his new friend living more freely, it was finally time that Whiskers had an opportunity to meet them. The family, intrigued and a little afraid to put his hand in the tank. Whiskers was immediately captivated by the speedy swimming of fish in and out of the water.
The family watched in amazement as Whiskers would sit by the tank for hours eyes wide open petrified at every move, Motionless and transfixed like he was meditating on a whole new level while watching RED . It also doubled as relaxation for the family because it gave Whiskers entertainment.
Benefits of the Aquarium
Setting up a cat-friendly tank had quite a few household wide benefits. It was great in that it provided Whiskers with a new form of mental stimulation as he could play catching the fish and practice his hunting technique on something safe (the last thing we need is for him to get lost outside trying to catch live prey). Second, it helped bring serenity to the home — watching your fish swim so gracefully is actually a soothing pastime for pets and humans alike.
There are several positives that can come out of this project, such as giving the family something in common i.e. animal care They learned how to keep up their tank (and the health and happiness of fish), which also helped them learn more about aquatic life.
Conclusion
Creating a unique water bowl for Whiskers was not only beneficial to their cat but helped the family bond. It was a joyful, educational and fun packed project. Through watching Whiskers marvel at the delightful palette of fish, we are all reminded that saving and sharing her adventure may just be a recipe for most happyness of all . as she turns lame into wandering awe Someday.
