The ocean is home to countless fascinating creatures. The small mammals are unlike any other on Earth. They have unique characteristics. To paint a picture of some of the unique inhabitants gracing our oceans

The Colorful Clownfish

Anemone-based life and in particular the clownfish, has to be at the forefront of any marine creatures image. The happy orange fish with a white striped body This refers to their living in sea anemones, which provide protection for them. These plants have a particular association with clownfish. The clownfish, in turn, has a safe place to hide from predators and the anemone get scraps of food when it eats leftover bits while the clownfish feeds. Now that is interesting teamwork!

The Mysterious Anglerfish

The anglerfish is another weird deep sea creature. Light gets to live on a fish’s head and it helps them locate food in the dark depths of the ocean. The light brings in bait fish which become an easy meal. These are fish that often have a bizarre look to them, when seemingly they always appear with these enormous mouths and huge teeth. They live in the darkest deep waters so they are even more mysterious.

The Playful Dolphin

Dolphins are among the smartest animals in the sea. It is a playful and welcoming character. They occur primarily in groups (pods) of 6 to 12 animals. They communicate among themselves through clicks, whistles and body movements. Dolphins are one of the favorite ocean residents who love watching them play in water or jump.

The Gentle Giant: BLUE WHALE

The blue whale is the largest animal on the planet. It can weigh as much as 200 tons! Despite its massive size, the blue whale is gentle and mostly eats tiny shrimp-like creatures called krill. These giant animals roam the oceans, reminding us of the diverse life that exists beneath the waves.
