The Alert Zebras
The zebras are wary nearby. They wander with wary eyes They are smart they know a lion is a clever hunter. But right now they seem to be holding back. And The lion cant get them unless he scares the shit out of them. The zebras maintained their ears and eyes erect. They know, that the lion is near; but they do nothing.
The Lion’s Strategy

Today, he has to hide in a bush or walk up unnoticed. The long grass provides a few hiding places, but the zebras remain vigilant. They travel as a herd, thus they are more difficult to hunt by the lion.
The Circle of Life
Life carries on in the Serengeti. The zebras have sweet grass to graze in while the lion sleeps. They graze and eat, with one eye always on the lion. They all have a role to play in this ecosystem. The lions have to feed themselves, and the zebras have to protect their lives. It is a never-ending bird and mouse process.
The lion stood, waiting for the sun to pass. He knows that when there is one lion, there could be more. The zebras know that the lions need to be a) ostracized from their environment, and b) avoid direct confrontation. The Serengeti is a fragile balancing act of life.
