A New Life for a Resilient Fawn
Look at his legs! The story of a fawn that was discovered with an injured leg tells the tale of hope and strength. The heart-warming story starts in dense woods of Carolina with wildlife abounds and nature at its best. Sadly that is not the case for all of these animals in this lush environment – and this young fawn was no exception.
The fawn had a broken leg and was in severe distress when the rescuers arrived. Thankfully, a team of caring wildlife rescuers were here to help — but not without their challenges. There is a community in Carolina of passionate individuals that puts wildlife and their welfare first. It is all your hard work which leads to animals like this fawn finally being able to get the vet care they need.
Vets have since confirmed that though the injury is serious, it’s not irreparable. Acting as quickly as they were, the team came up with a treatment plan to help fix the broken leg of this little Fawn. The journey to rehab was long, it would take a half year and be very intense. Over the following weeks, rehabilitators cared for him and slowly nursed him back to health. Not only did they nurse the fawn, but provided much needed love and attention that ultimately made him comfortable in his new surroundings.
Eventually, the fawn started to regain strength. Finally the bandages came off, and day after day his legs gained strength. Originally, skinny and weak he began to explore with new courage. Every step was a testimony to the power of nature and how human kindness could change the life situation for non-human animals.
That fawn is now today, a symbol of hope and renewal. He is currently at large in a nice and secure place; his own token of affection and commitment. That story tells us even in the wild about an act of kindness resulting in magical transformations. This fawn came into our lives as learning about his journey makes us feel good and motivates us to take care of the wildlife that affects so many different aspects in our own.
