Life of a Mother Giraffe

The cow giraffe, or mother, is extremely nurturing. The calf is under her care from the time it’s born. A mother giraffe typically only has one calf at a time. A baby giraffe stands about 6 feet tall on average when it is born. It still needs the mother to feed even though it is so big now.

Caring and Protection
