The Beauty of Cardinals
Cardinals are small red birds. The males are brilliantly colored, and the females a warm brown with red undertones. A cardinal against the white snow is an exquisite sight. How there red color of the bird shines and it steals glance from others.
These birds tend to be found in gardens, parks and backyards. They like eating seeds and you can see them in bird feeders. When you drive by and see a cardinal bouncing around on the snow, that is an appealing sight. The nature of this makes you happy and gets closer to worklessness.
Capturing the Moment
One way is through photography, like with this wonderful photograph of a male cardinal in the snow. By reviewing the very basics you can greatly improve taking photographs. Initial work with the bird to help keep things relaxed (not so they freak you out) This can be accomplished using a zoom lens, or even just an average camera with a decent built-in zoom feature.
Timing is also important. Photographers often consider this time of day, early morning or late afternoon (often referred to as the ”magic hour”), among the best light for taking pictures. The sun is not as harsh during these times and it makes good pastel tints like making the snow glint white, otherwise casting a soft glow from all sides creating beautiful shadows.
Also, do your best to find a nice backdrop. Keep it simple with a white background to make the beautiful cardinal really pop in your image. some branches or vegetation to create texture and depth in the image.
