Where Does the Ili Pika Live?

The Ili Pika is from the Tianshan Mountains. The mountain is in the Xinjiang province of China. The Ili Pika lives in stony terrain to protect itself. It prefers to grow in cool and wet areas. It ischome to steep cliffs and large boulders. Such places serve as a protection from predators and inclement weather.

What Does the Ili Pika Eat?

Mainly feeds on grass, flowers and other types of plants. It takes a lot of time to find some delicious leaf or herb. Early morning or late afternoon make the best chances to catch an Ili Pika munching on a meal. The Ili Pika may be small but he needs to eat well when he can in order to keep his energy, especially once the winter season kicks into full swing.
