This Turtle Is So Rare and Adorable!

Turtles Really are Extraordinary Animals They come in all shapes and sizes. But there are the certain important and rare kind of turtles. One of these special turtles is so rare, and cute that it works its way into everyone’s heart!

The Rare Turtle

The rare turtle in question is called the “Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth”. This turtle only occurs on some tiny islands. They are the islands of Panama So few still exist since they occupy all of their small range. This turtle is one of a handful, 500 and change scientists believe. This makes them one of the most endangered turtles in the world.

Why They Are Adorable

So you may ask yourself, why so cute turtle? One, cute little round face with big eyes that sparkle like stars. They have a brown and green mixed shell color, which allows them to camouflage in the jungle where they reside. They trudge along like elephants walking in space. It is like watching a miniature ballet in nature!

Living Habitat

They enjoy living in the Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth trees. They eat leaves and play up in the branches, out of reach. Since these turtles are so shy, they tend to not come out as much. They prefer not to blend in as much, so they stand out even more. Their lifestyle however is a lesson on just how much we must protect the environment.

Why We Should Care

These rare turtles and their environment need to be protected. Care of those transitory homesOr ever they will vanish We will be keeping them safe by protecting their islands. This means that the wonderful turtles we love can still be seen by our descendants, and they should inherit also out respect them as fellow creatures.
