Texas Roadhouse, a Dog, and Veterans Day
People go on about the food at Texas Roadhouse, and its atmosphere, or how good they think their service is. On Veterans Day this week, a dog that dined at the restaurant caused quite an uproar. She was service dog who had been on two deployments. This option, that came with the outright storming eyes of many who thought dearly wrong it for a dog to eat steak in a restaurant. But there are compelling reasons to celebrate this special day.
Dogs and Their Service
These military dogs are no less a part of our country than any human soldier. From sniffing bombs (or poo) to tracking enemy soldiers, they provide a whole host of vital services. These dogs work and train very hard. They will come home looking for our friendship and should have it, after all. Rewarding a service dog with dining out means showing appreciation of their efforts. Because all that obliviousness the media has been picking on so valiantly is nothing but a harsh reminder military dogs are also heroes.
A Choice Between a Dog and Kids
A few object to the dog showing up at their table. But for real tho would you rather be sat next to a respectful good boy or annoying kids. Most customers will say that some belligerent brat makes as much noise or creates more damage than a nice quiet dog. Dogs are generally quiet, but kids tend to be loud and overactive. A relaxed dog can give the impression to all in a restaurant that everything is hunky dory.
Veterans Day the Right Way
Today is Veterans Day and a day that we honor our military veterans. A time to honor the people (and animals) who have aided in the battle for freedom. Rest in peace, fallen soldiers — a steak for the service dog. Rather than pissed, chap should be celebrating this period as a novel way of thanking people who served.
But let us ultimately end on what should matter – Our respect for those who have come before, to include all of this country’s heroes (both human and animal), each worthy of our highest appreciation this Veterans Day.
