The Arrival of Puppies
A West Highland White Terrier when she has puppies is wonderful. Her litter is generally a smaller one anywhere from four to six puppies. When they are old enough to give birth, those babies will come into the world quite small and very helpless. They are soft little aliens in her lap, their eyes screwed shut with all the delicateness of rented siblings. The mom is very protective. She keeps them warm and safe.
Each puppy has a personality. Some are playful. The more shy ones or the very curious. She feeds them and she makes sure they are cleaned. Puppies grow quickly. Within a few weeks, they began to open their eyes and walk. I am amazed to see their growth.
The Importance of a Good Home
There is a lot that the Westie mama teaches her puppies. This encourages them to play and explore These are important life skills they learn. In no time, the puppies begin to romp. They have been chasing and wagging tails. This fun time is very important for their development.
We want to find good homes for the puppies. There is a loving family out there for each puppy. They can add joy and happiness to many lives. Puppies grow up can’t with their mother after they are around 8 weeks old. This is a pretty major move for the puppies and mom alike.
